Influence of Mg Content on Texture Development during Hot Plain-Strain Deformation of Aluminum Alloys

The study addresses the effect of magnesium and other alloying elements on rolling “?-fiber” texture formation during hot deformation aluminum alloys. For study, flat cast ingots from three alloys with variable content were deformed in a Gleeble testing unit different parameters thermomechanical treatment. Immediately after completion deformation, samples quenched using an automatic cooling system microstructure crystalline was analyzed by optical microscopy X-ray analysis. analysis demonstrated that increase components, particular, leads to brass-type decrease S copper-type texture. reason simulation development revealed great contribution impurity atoms rather than stacking fault energy.
